Fran Campbell Spotlight

Frances Campbell – 2018 ISD Hall of Fame Inductee!

Many of you will recognize this beautiful lady, Frances Marshall Campbell (daughter of Charles and Mittie Marshall) as a CODA and professional colleague. She devoted 22 years of service to the Illinois School for the Deaf. Mrs. Campbell has received word she will be honored as one of the 2018 Inductees into the Illinois School for the Deaf Hall of Fame.

Mrs. Campbell began working at Illinois School for the Deaf in 1955 holding several positions over the years as a Recreational Worker, Dorm Staff and then becoming the high school girls Dorm Supervisor (G3). She then retired in 1987 and began working full time interpreting as a Nationally Certified Interpreter working both in Illinois and Arizona where she retired to.

Fran will be honored at a recognition dinner September 21, 2018, at the American Legion in Jacksonville, IL (ISD Homecoming Weekend).

I also want to say how proud I am of my mother. She has been a loving mother and now my best friend. She has been a mentor and rock during my professional career.
