Currently many schools, federal agencies and hospitals in Arizona are requiring that interpreters have a fingerprint clearance card in order to comply with their own companies policies and regulations. It has been brought to our attention that this will be moving towards an industry standard in the years to come and will most likely start effecting any work performed for the State of Arizona as early as this year.
We want to keep our interpreters in compliance and applicable for as much work as possible, so we are asking that all of our interpreters begin the process of acquiring their cards as soon as they can. It is likely, that our agency will require this for all contractual workers at the beginning of 2019.
The information below outlines one of the methods that can be used to acquire your fingerprint clearance card. From what we have seen, this is the fastest and easiest method of acquisition, but you certainly may use other facilities or companies to acquire the same clearance as you would receive from following the instructions outlined below.

Go to the AZ Dept. of Public Safety website: https://psp.azdps.gov/services/fccFormTriage

Apply for a Card

Set up an Account so you can track your status.

Choose IVP Card

Fill Out required information.

Upon filling out all the required information, you will be prompted to pay the fee (Approx $68) and will be given a list of places you can go to get your prints taken.

Go to an approved location and get prints done (additional fees typically $10 or less may apply)

After submitting your prints, you can check status by logging into the account you created.

Approx approval times are 1-4 weeks. Your card will be mailed to you upon approval.

Please submit a copy of your card to us so that we can update your account.
**In the near future, this will be required for all state work and will be required by AZFLIS for all contractual workers.
